A Note to our Owners and Water Drinkers
The people running your water Company take great care to assure the quality of water we supply. In addition, there are State requirements that specify what we are testing for and the frequency of these tests. All the testing information is compiled into a report by the Rural Water Association of Utah, under contract with the HHWCo. This process assures that all the applicable Utah and Federal reporting rules are followed. The report also contains explanations of important contaminates and comments on responsibilities of the home owner and the Water Co. If you’ve never read one of these reports – take a few minutes and look at the latest one. It is easily readable and you will probably find it interesting. Yearly Consumer Confidence Reports:
Every month HHWCo tests our water for the presence of contaminates in accordance with Federal and Utah State laws. Each year the test results are published in a document called the, “Consumer Confidence Report.” The contents of this report are specified by statute and, in addition to publishing it here for our consumers to review, a copy is filed with Utah State. Please note that not all tests are done at the same frequency. The table in the Report specifies the frequency, occasionally – inferred, and/or the year of the last test results.

Metals, Organics, and Radiological Test Results
Every three years the Company is required to test our drinking water for the following contaminates: Inorganics, Metals, Carbamates, Herbicides, Pesticides, Semi-Volatile Compounds, Volatile Organic Compounds, and Radioactive Isotopes. These tests were performed in the early months of 2026. Some of these results are included in the 2025 Consumer Confidence Report. Lead System Inventory:
In addition to the results presented above, there are occasional special areas of focus that require additional testing or system documentation. One such area is lead contamination in the water system. The Federal Government has mandated that lead be eliminated from local water systems. As a first step they mandated each system conduct an inventory of lead components in the system. This inventory would then, be used to systematically eliminate those components. The inventory of the HHWCo system was done in 2024 and the results are presented in the document linked below. (Please note, the format of the document has been changed to pdf and modified to fit on the website.) While you are free to peruse the attached document, there are no notations of lead being present in our water system. Supporting this statement is the fact that there are no lead pipes or lead metal as would be contained in solder intended for copper pipe installation, in our system. (Please note: These comments apply to the system, defined as stopping at the valve after the meter. They are not intended to report on the homeowner’s piping from the meter to the home or within the home.)
